The SAGE design’s origin traces back to 2004, when Will, searching for a personal logo, found inspiration in the image of an Aboriginal elder. This encounter sparked the creation of the SAGE iconography, which began as hand-painted t-shirts, grew into a street art collective, and evolved into a community-driven movement. In 2012, the collective became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, driving local initiatives like the Windows of Soul community mural festival, community gardens, and the creation of an emerging art gallery in Trenton, NJ.
